When Princess Diana died, major networks in the UK either suspended programming or ran a scroll telling viewers to switch to a news network. Sky's channels did the same thing. So far, the only known footage of this happening was from Nickelodeon, during an episode of Tales of the Cryptkeeper:

On a Telegraph article about people who remember where they were the day Diana died, someone mentions watching Cartoon Network and a text said "PRINCESS DIANA DEAD" or something: www.telegraph.co.uk/women/life/day-diana-died/
Does anyone remember any of this? 'Cause I don't because 1. I wasn't even born yet and 2. I'm American. I found this while looking for that famous "This is BBC Television from London" thing on YouTube a couple of years ago.
