Around the year 2005 or so, I distinctly remember a short in which a young girl with black hair, and a friend (a creature of some kind, if I recall correctly) play a video game (which I remember as being Pong, or one of those old high score video games) and the girl becomes addicted staying up all night to beat her score or something.

The animation was not of good quality and was probably done in Flash. I don't remember what channel I saw this on, but it might've been one of those shorts compilations aired on Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network. I've tried looking but can't seem to find anything on it.

I'm glad you remembered that it was Naughty Naughty Pets, because I probably wouldn't have found it otherwise, lol.

That friend of hers suuuuure is best described as a Creature! And you probably saw this on Cartoon Network. These were aired around 2007 I believe.

I actually remember watching a couple of these episodes on YouTube when I was younger. I don't know if this show ever aired in America, to be honest (but then again, my family didn't get cable until around 2008/2009).
