Hi all...
So, as many of you already know, I have been blocked from the wiki for "abusive language". I have no idea what I said anywhere that could be considered abusive, but as the Wiki's second-in-command (I'm guessing), I need to be on the Wikia version to help out the already alienated community. I took it upon myself to message Wikia's staff about the matter:
"Hi there, I'm ThatShoegazer from the Lost Media Wiki, and I have some concerns about the nature of my being blocked.
First off is the reasoning. I was accused of vandalism and abusive language when I did nothing of the sort. The only thing I did was leave a lengthy message explaining to readers what had happened to Dycaite, the wiki's creator. I also said the intentions of us to continue work on the new wiki, which is what I'm guessing is the actual reason behind my being blocked. What really concerns me is that I also stated on the page for users to keep the wiki active regardless of the situation and to not harass Wikia's staff members. I also told members on our ShoutBox to not blank any pages.
Now, while I understand that you guys didn't want me talking about progress for the new wiki on the home page, I was not given notice to edit it out or sufficient amount of time to do so. I'm really busy, myself, and carry a full-time job as well as several other artistic projects I have devoted myself to. By the time I came by to check on what was going on, I saw that there was an edit war going on between Wikia's staff members and the Lost Media Wiki members. I decided it would be best to leave it be and to not risk getting myself greenlit for blocking.
There was also a note left about "abusive language", which doesn't make any sense to me. The only two things I can think of is an instance when a troll messaged BertH (the staff member who is currently dealing with this situation) and I told the TROLL, not the staff member, to not provoke him. The other thing I can think of is my talking about starting a new wiki as an "abuse" of the terms of service. Which once again points me in the direction of not being notified beforehand, or asked to make any edits.
Look, I understand your staff members are busy managing numerous wikis and I'm sure our issue isn't exactly on your priority list. However, I find the circumstances surrounding my blocking entirely unfair. I understand why you guys blocked the creator, he was breaking your rules an you guys warned him multiple times. I was not blanking articles, linking to the new wiki, or anything of the sort. I was trying to divert conversation about it away from the wiki and into different places. The fact that I can't even message BertH himself to get this issue resolved is also unfair, because now I'm required to bring this matter to you, wasting more of what I'm sure is important company time for you guys. If I had been notified of the changes I needed to make, believe me, i would have happily made them in exchange for letting our community keep at least ONE of it's original admins. I'm trying to make things easier on both you guys AND our community.

That being said, I reiterate, keep the old wiki active until Dycaite gets the new wiki up and running. That means make new articles, keep the passion alive. This keeps our community strong, keeps others seeing us in a positive light, and makes Wikia more willing to let us advertise the wiki's moving. I italicized that to emphasize that that's a big one for us. We NEED to be able to bring people to the newer, improved wiki.
As I stated on the homepage, don't provoke the Wikia admins anymore than you already have. I'm pretty goddamn sure Shitasticular's antics have not made things easier and it's only encouraging people to continue the negative energy.
I would like to also state that while Dycaite will definitely see an unban on the Wikia version, he won't be an admin. He will also more than likely not have interest in the Wikia version, which is understandable because he should be busier perfecting the new wiki. That being said, I know I stated the opposite before, but please don't send BertH or any other Wikia staff members requests to unblock/re-admin Dycaite. At this point, they're probably already being incredibly stubborn about their decision.
