(Possibly Nonexistent) 18+ Ed, Edd, 'n Eddy Content?

I'm really interested in this, it reminds me of the 3 Men pilot rumor I obsessed about back when that surfaced. However, in taking my knowledge from that search combined with some new insight, I can reach a conclusion that I'm sure will be no surprise.

Looooooong story short, there were tons of "adult" EEnE episodes that floated around back in the day and none of them ended up being true, so just in that fact alone I still don't believe any adult content was ever made.

There are a lot of oddities here, with the fact that it's an official CN magazine, the ad is from 2007, etc. However, I think this is sort of a case of being lost in translation (no pun intended?)

The translations I read use words like "cinema" and "psycological violence", and to me that sounds very tongue-in-cheek, as EEnE can be edgy at times. This also personally reminds me of when Nintendo Power talked about a ghost in the Safari Room of Luigi's mansion who would put Luigi's head on the wall- it's just a way to spice up the writing.

On top of that, we don't really know what the ad is trying to convey, as the Christmas special had allegedly aired in Poland before 2007 (so why would it be promoting that) and one of my contacts simply thought it was just a DVD ad.

And some people on the reddit thread were saying stuff like it was meant for something else but not edited out, or a typo or something.

As interesting as a lost special like that would be, it just doesn't make sense that it would exist especially when the ad is really vague with what it's talking about.

I'm pretty sure that what you're doing is against the rules.

Even if it is a tongue in cheek joke I can’t deny it is kinda funny and strange to see- while the episode itself probably isn’t real the ad is certainly a neat little novelty IMO
