There used to be a PSA on Youtube from the 80’s about smoking, and it had this person in a chair telling himself about cigarettes causing fires or something, (All I can remember is him saying “Who do they think they are? Telling me not to smoke in bed? And the nerd telling me to”; that’s pretty much all I know) and at the end, he says “Who do they know, anyhow?” as the camera pans to reveal the person is a skeleton.

Anyone remember that PSA?

Was this that far back? I thought I had seen this somewhere since I used to watch a bunch of Top 15 Scary PSA's and I thought this one was dated in the 2000's but maybe I'm talking about a similar one? Would recommend you check those videos out if you haven't already seen them.

Yes, it was. Probably around the mid-80s. (Though I believe it was also a fire safety PSA, hence the “a fire safety message” thing heard at the end of the PSA)

The “smoking in bed” aspect reminds me of Betty Brinkley but obviously that has nothing to do with a skeleton.

The person (who is the skeleton in the PSA) was actually sitting in a chair by a fireplace.
