Thought to be lost (and destroyed as ordered by the court after New Line won the lawsuit), this 1988 unreleased DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince music video for Nightmare On My Street has finally been released on YouTube. It is however ripped from low quality VHS (and with somebody accidentally record a bit of Growing Pains in between the song so it's near-complete) but it is a surprise...

This is a rather amusing (and important, nonetheless) discovery. The Growing Pains fragment makes the music video more authentic, strangely enough. I can imagine Warner Bros/New Line using the that same video as an easter egg in a new Nightmare on Elm Street instalment, if that ever happens.

I'm sure for legal reasons, he officially didn't. But I'm also sure it's no coincidence that a cleaner version showed up on his channel after the other one.

While I'm glad the better version is out there now, I think it loses a bit of the Growing Pains charm.
