Perils of the Wild is a lost 1925 serial featuring Joe Bonomo, the strongman, in the lead role as Fritz Robinson and William Dyer as the nasty villain, the pirate Black John. Among the action segments would likely have been Joe's famous lift and throw, in which he would lift one of the other people, always an acrobat hired for that purpose, and throw them into the crowd. In addition, Joe would have no cumpuction about making use of his great strength in other ways, which in turn would enhance the action even further. For example, during a fight sequence with Black John, Joe could grab ahold of his adversary's sword and bend or even break it in two, forcing Black John to retreat. A shame this serial is lost.
