I'm not sure how many of the users here are aware of Jonathan Wojcik [AKA Bogleech], but he's a fairly well known artist and enthusiast of horror, bugs, Halloween, and the like. Every year, he celebrates Halloween with waves of content on his titular website, or in the case of one Halloween, with one big surprise CYOA game, Don't Get Spooked.
When Wojcik originally uploaded Don't Get Spooked for the public, it featured creepypasta characters from various sources and authors such as Kris Straub of Candle Cove fame and the SCP wiki, and this included his at-the-time friend Slimebeast's works. However, after Bogleech and Slimebeast [referred to from here as SB] fell out and Bog separated himself from SB [and understandably so!], a later update to Don't Get Spooked removed the characters that originated from SB's writings. This renders the original presentation of Don't Get Spooked as of now, completely lost, outside of the guide.
I managed to find an un-updated version of the official guide which needs to be archived [and due to computer issues at the time, I cannot, sorry], which can be found here.
I'm going to be using this guide to fill in the many, many gaps my memory has left in the years since the initial release.
It's actually been so long I can't remember all of the characters that belonged to SB, but I do know that after a brief lookover at the current DGS:

It's actually been so long I can't remember all of the characters that belonged to SB, but I do know that after a brief lookover at the current DGS:
- Funnymouth has been replaced with Jeff the Killer
- What I believed used to be a gas mask Mickey Mouse from one of SB's Abandoned By Disney stories, named Mikey Mice, stories is replaced with a suicidemouse pastiche that retains the same name. It appears that his door was changed as well, as currently it is "mouse shaped" while in the guide it is referred to as "vault door".
- A commenter on the guide asks, "I played this a few years ago but got confused, but recently I tried again and really loved it! Just curious, any reason for the change from Mikey Mice to Rap Rat?". This seems to imply the change from Gas Mask-Mikey Mice was changed to Rap Rat, but then to Suicidemouse-Mikey Mouse. I wonder if it's possible to recover the Rap Rat iteration of Mikey?
- There's a character I definitely don't remember titled "Regularman". While there is a Slender Man and a Squatman, I'm pretty sure Regularman replaces an SB character.
- The regular door currently in game is unaccounted for in the guide. The guide mentions an "invisible" door that i assumed it had replaced, but the invisible door still exists. I don't know why the regular door was added or if it replaces anything, so it's just an oddity right now.
- Not an SB character, but it appears that a character referred to as "uzumaki" in the guide is removed, renamed, or replaced. This may be because of copyright reasons? The current iteration of him is "snailman", a drunken figure comprised of snails. I follow Wojcik's blog but don't recall him posting about this, but he did post about the update, so I don't know.
These are about all the changes I noticed from skimming over the current game and the guide.
i'm currently quite fatigued from real life events but I'm going to try to find any older versions I can when I can and hope that if anything is backed up, it still works. It'll probably take me a while to get to, however.
At this point, my priority is finding [or at least restoring] the original version of Don't Get Spooked for the sake of preservation and posterity, but having a list of characters could be helpful for that. It's understandable WHY the characters were removed and I respect that, but it'd be a pity to see Wojcik's excellent artwork of these characters become lost, as well as their DGS relevant chunks of plot.
