First off, i didn't want to make an account just for this so mods should feel free to move it where it belongs.
On February 25, 2016, a YouTube user called IWANDIGITAL uploaded a video called ''SHREK 2D'', in this 2D animated video without audio we can see Lord Farquaad explaining a city (using miniature) to Shrek and Donkey.
The video remained in obscurity until a Reddit user on the /r/RebelTaxi subreddit posted it asking if this could have been part of a failed animated series.
There is almost no information about this video, except the video itself.
I knew it wasn't a real animated series telling by how little views it has and the creator of the video doesn't even try to pretend that it's a real creation by DreamWorks Animation or its TV department. It's just simply a fan creation of one of the scenes in the original movie, and even if it did exist, it wouldn't be in 2D as DreamWorks officially abandoned the 2D animation style in 2003 after a string of box office failures in the early 2000's (i.e. The Road to El Dorado in 2000, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron in 2002 and Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas in 2003) and the Shrek franchise is well-known for being in 3D, so it would make no sense to transition to a different animation style the franchise isn't well-known for.
At the very least, the artwork actually looks decent and resembles the fairy tale drawings of the cast pretty well.
Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.
