What a charming game that is. Completely inoffensive fun for the whole family. The gameplay isn't too great though.

If you play the game, heck, if you just read the opening cutscene, you'll know this game was not made seriously.

You'll see quite a difference between his 2006 review (his second episode!! It has aged quite a bit, but is kinda historically significant) and his 2010 re-review!! (much more accessible)
I haven't played it, but I've seen it being played. It does not look enjoyable at all. If anyone doesn't yet know Sonic '06 is not a fun game to play. It might look funny on Youtube, but it's painful. I entered a random level as Shadow and fell through the map while trying to figure out the controls. I was so scared of playing levels after that experience that I spent the rest of the time running around Soleanna getting the rest of my team to kill themselves with their awful AI. And did I mention that the frame rate tanks whenever you're not standing completely still? My eyes were not happy bunnies.
To give you an idea, it is a Tony Hawk clone but unlike decent clones of that game... it fubars the basics of the mechanics. You have to hold forward to go forward, instead of X like in Tony Hawk. It makes tricks REALLY hard to do with that in place, also the numerous glitches that can happen when playing too, namely tricks not working right and what not.
How many of us have actually played these games? Instead of reading/watching reviews and Let's Plays of them?
I asume this is all inspired by "The nerd" the games are easily accessible by roms and emulations, but nobody wants to play these if they don't have to lol XD
