This is a bit of an interesting case... The "lost" media we're dealing with isn't actually lost yet. In 100% honesty, there's no concrete evidence that it will become lost. But I have some strong evidence.
Background
ETC Show was a YouTube channel owned by Machinima, and (from what I've gleaned) the creators of the show wanted to leave Machinima. The only way they were able to do this was by creating a new channel, Internet Today, and moving all their new uploads their.
Problem
The hosts of Internet Today / ETC News left a strange hint in one of their newer videos regarding a video on their old channel:
"But watch it soon, because that video might not be feeling so good... Along with all the other videos on that channel, not feeling so good."
It sounds to me like they're planning on nuking their old channel. With 1,761 uploads, many of which are over 20 minutes long, it would be impossible for me to download their entire video archive. I'd be sad to see their old episodes disappear, but I don't know what I can do. I guess there's a chance that the videos won't get deleted. I figured I should at least share my theory here to hear your opinions.
There's always a chance that they'll just unlist the videos. Completely erasing +1,700 of what is essentially part of the channel's history seems like a foolish idea to me.
Does recording 5 minutes of My Bedbugs count as finding something?

Try checking archive.org to see how many of their videos it's actually grabbed.

The Wayback Machine can't save YouTube videos anymore. It used to be able to do that a few years back, but it doesn't anymore. I guess if they unlist all their videos, the Wayback Machine can be used to retrieve some URLs.

That's what I mean. There's a chance some of their videos were archived, unless I am mistaken of the cutoff date.

github.com/bibanon/tubeup If not, this might work. Have not tried it but seems promising. Autodownloads youtube videos and then uploads them to archive.org. Could be tough to deal with, as machinima may want to go as far as to DMCA archive.org to just remove them, seeing how easy it is to get content taken down from there.
I've never heard of TubeUp before, but I think I might start using it now. ...If I can figure out how to get it up and running.
Also, make sure to look for already existing archives to make sure you're not doing too much work you don't need to do. There's likely archives of at least a couple hundred of their videos by now.
It appears that ETC News has privatized all of their videos that are more than 8 months old. And, perhaps soon, all of their videos may be gone.
There might be some videos saved to the Wayback Machine, but I assume that a majority of their old videos are now officially lost. (Luckily, they haven't deleted their playlists, so we can still see thumbnails and titles.)
The videos are private but if you go to the playlists you can at least get the urls and save the thumbnails if you want to. No idea who these people are but I'll download all their stuff anyway.
Break in the case! A YouTuber just reuploaded a large portion of their old videos. I don't believe this is everything, but it's got a lot of the best stuff.
