Funbrain Arcade was a portion of the Funbrain children's education website where people could play mini-games on a board-type layout. The board had 25 spaces, each corresponding to a mini-game. The first 12 games were games that were also available as solo games on the main website. The 13th game, labeled "Croc Hopper", would bring up a sketch of a turtle and the text "Coming Soon." This would remain in place until the whole page was removed, a decade after it went up.
Funbrain did modify the source code for the arcade at times. They re-made the board with a Froot Loops layout once.
I seem to remember them making a couple other games. There was a puzzle game that would reveal a branded image, and you would have to say what was in the image in order to win. One version of the game used the movie Wall-E.
All of the art on the board was from one of the 12 games, except for a drawing of a crocodile.
The question here is why, in its 10 years of existence, did Croc Hopper not come out?
Things to look into:
- Did they release other non-branded games between the arcade's launch and the time it shut down?
- Who worked at Funbrain?
- Was there a technical limitation causing them to not add more games?
- Why couldn't they add games they already had?
"Weekend? It's Monday already."
