I think we need to create a section for lost sports events.
It seems that there are a lot of sporting events and notable games (such as the NFL, etc) that seem to have been lost to time. Since it technically is lost media, it'd be worth adding onto the wiki. I'm looking for old sporting events myself.
Well, there is no section for "TV series", "talkshows" or specific genres... on the new wiki, we are trying to not create too much categories... but what do others think about that?

Bumping this old thread, I'd support this as well. I doubt most people here care for sports, but given the huge number of lost sporting events, it seems worth it (not to mention I'm looking for some sporting events that are pretty much lost, I may or may not post a thread here, soccer fans very welcome).
I agree with this too. This is important as well. We need people to record ESPN Classic in USA and Canada, as well as TSN, ESPN, Sportsnet, Fox Sports, NBC sports and every networks that air sports. If they do some rewind series, like flashback and highlight productions on stuff like past Olympic events, re-broadcasts of Olympic events, recordings of raw feeds from Satellite and Digital Cable, special feeds, etc. Even highlight broadcasts from Paralympics and Youth Olympics. Also, this should include both slightly shortened re-broadcasts and entire re-broadcasts of events like 1972 summit series, the Canada cup of the 80s, grey cups, Super Bowls, play-offs of leagues, etc. We should also start ripping sports DVDs, blu-Ray, VHS tapes and any physical media from year in reviews, to highlight shows, compilations, documentaries, full box sets including games, events and highlights of said events, like NHL play-offs, Super Bowls, Olympic DVDs and Blu-Rays from NBC, BBC, CBC/CTV, etc.
Also, an interesting topic in terms of sports archives are the numerous Live Broadcasts that ESPN Classic in the USA used to do, or still do sometimes, I'm not sure.
