I never will understand why people make such bland posts with a simple statement. Seems to be happening a lot recently.
I'm assuming it's possible there's VHS trading groups and the like out there with connections to people who have a lot of episodes archived. One guy taped the majority of the entire run of David Letterman from the 80's to the end of the CBS run (article here), and he mentioned filling in missing episodes here and there with VHS trades. Jay probably isn't an exception. A good place to start would be finding any of these groups. Most individuals prefer trades for something they don't have though so I dunno how easy it'd be to pry anything away from them. But anyone seriously looking for this show should try to find these traders and see what you can find.
When it coems to talk shows, I'd go so far as to say that anything post-1978 exists almost entirely. While it is true that they do not exist on the internet, those that do archive it are fanatical, some of them will not trade unless you have something they need to fill a gap, the other thing is once you have uploaded one, then they won't trade with you again. These people are amateur archivists, from time to time people offer large amounts of episodes on sites like ioffer and sell, there was one form 20 dollars an episode. Right now, talk shows that aren't available online but being offered are: Dennis Miller Jon Stewart Chevy Chase Jerry Lewis Arsenio Donny & Marie Meredith Vierra Pat Sajak Morton Downey Jr. Whoopi D. Brenner Parkinson Joe Pyne Jack Paar Dick Cavett So they are largely available but very pricey.
