As the article on the BBC states, the silent film found was made in Austria at a time where anti-Semitism in politics was growing and thousands of Austrian Jewish soldiers were displaced back at home after World War I. The film's plot on the expelling of all Jews from the city is now just so sad and tragic in light of the Holocaust and the Nazis' crimes against humanity.
Still, I'm glad that the film has been preserved as a reason of why excluding people based on their religion is wrong.

Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.
The guy who wrote the novel this was based off of was murdered by a Nazi less then a year after this film was made, which was around 9 years before Hitler fully took power. Kind of crazy that it predicted the forced removal of Jews 20 years before it happened. This is quite a important film to archive and I'm glad it's found in full, especially since silent films are mostly lost and this one would have been hated by the Nazis
