I think about this every now and then but at times I can't find any proof of it. Looking at the archive of the vgcats.com you see the 200 page of the comic with a TBA never. The thing is is that I remember seeing that comic. I remember it well because of a number of contrived coincidences that happened the day it was posted. It was June 15, 2006 the very first day of Anthrocon. As we were getting ready for the day a roommate brought up Foamy the Squirrel and a new animation Ill Will Press posted recently. It was a PSA for the Texas anime convention A-Con utilizing the standard "Do's and Don'ts" at a convention told with that Foamy charm. You know, do wear deodorant, do take a shower, don't be an ass kind of stuff. Honestly that Foamy animation should be played at the beginning of every convention, but that's beside the point.
What happened next was I was checking to see if the new VG cats comic had been posted. There had been some hype for Scott reaching his 200th comic, a rare feat by then and I wanted to see it as soon as it came out. What I saw though was serendipitous to the foamy video itself. The 200th comic was about Leo and Aeris attending and hosting a panel an anime convention and straight up complaining about the same things Foamy was complaining about. There was even a panel of Aeris yelling at a fat guy dressed as Sailor Moon to "Cosplay as someone who wears deodorant." The comic itself ended on a cliffhanger as Leo mentioned that "The Fans," written was in ominous letter, was approaching the table. After that I didn't pay much mind to the comic as I had Anthrocon to attend for the next few days.
When I got home I wanted to show my friends would couldn't make it the comic. I showed them the Foamy animation first but then when I went to VGCats.com the comic was gone. I inquired about it but never got anything back. I had heard rumors that the comic itself was only up for maybe 2 hours and that Scott removed it because it just wasn't happy with. Allegedly he found it too mean spirited and insulting to the fans that had supported him. I don't know though. The comic page seems to have been lost to time and I feel like I'm the only one who remembers seeing it. It's not like that Penny Arcade comic where they made fun of Strawberry Shortcake if it was directed by American McGee which eventually make it's way back online. I can't help but feel that someone somewhere may of archived it in the short period it was online but at this point I was just wondering if anyone else had seen it. If a copy exists somewhere I'd love to see it again.
Oh, that "Here Come's Monday" parody by San Renard has nothing to do with it so please don't bring it up. That comic is still well archived.
