Sometime back in 2003 or 2004 I was watching the trailers leading up to the premiere of The Matrix: Reloaded. I always enjoy watching trailers back in the day and usually like talking about them after talking about the movie. There was this one trailer though for a movie that just stuck out at me with just how bad it was in advertising the movie. After watching the matrix sequel, I tried to recall what that movie was called but I couldn't remember the name. And after all these years I honestly can't remember who was staring in it either. All I remember was how revealing the trailer was.
From what I can remember the trailer starts with a woman witnessing a murder. It causes her to faint and then get amnesia. When she wakes up in the hospital she's question by two detectives who work with her to try and get her to remember. As they work with her though, one of the detectives starts revealing that he knows more than he lets on. And then they reveal in the trailer that he was the murderer the whole time and is now trying to chase her down and kill her. At the end I felt like I had just watched the entire movie and wondered why anyone should watch it now that everything was revealed.
Now I tried Googling "Movie where the detective was the murderer 2003/2004" and I got like 15 movies that year that had a similar plot but after reading every single IMDB profile it wasn't the movie I was looking for. I feel that chances are because of this trailer the movie might of ended up getting shelved and never released. I can assure you it is NOT the Lindsey Lohan movie "I Know Who Killed Me," though the movie did bring up memories of the trailer. I wasn't aware of LMW back then, but after seeing a random episode of Law and Order recently where the cop was the killer the whole time it led me to ask this forum. Does anyone know what movie this is?
