I'm not gonna believe it. Remember that video that that guy made in MS paint? It's the same guy. If it's real, why did it take him so long to upload a legit clip? Here's why: it's not real and it took him forever to animate this, that's why. I wouldn't believe it if I were you.

@thatoneguy That was found pretty early, we used it to track down MVD as well as the bar code for the movie
matt I was able to get a response from him, he really wants to stay away from this, going as far as to tell me not to contact him about the movie again.
Lucy I also tried getting in touch with him, but he hasn't responded. The anime channel he posted to responded. I've been watching their interactions since HM first posted on /co/

I think that because the animation quality mirrors another leak, it might strengthen the possibility of this being real. Of course, at the same time, it could be made by the same guy who made the other leak. I also noticed that the account that uploaded the video was created in May of this year, so it's probably not a 4chan troll account purposefully made recently to upload something and look credible, or, perhaps it's the previous leaker's alt account. Of course, I'm going to keep taking it with a grain of salt until more evidence is given.

Has anyone attempted to follow up with MVD entertainment group of Pottstown Pennsylvania? IIRC, somebody posted a link saying that they were a distributor with access to ADWSS dvd's, or at least some of reagal's films. someone attempted to call last week but nothing resulted from it.

I haven't, just because I think it's near pointless to contact a legitimate company that has a wide range of products that they distribute. It's really unlikely they'll know anything.
I'm pretty sure one anon visited their offices though.
Honestly, if this DVD is so rare, it's gotta be for a reason. If they actually used footage from Spongebob, they'd have lawsuits up their necks and we'd have heard of it. If they actually went through the trouble to make quality animation for this, there'd be pictures available already.
I have a feeling this "mockumentary" as a whole could very possibly be a joke. Some cheap cash-in to lure the Spongebob fan kid; I mean, it's common for crappy cartoons to be sold with DVDs that have better quality art (and the opposite is true!).
So, this clip of "awful quality"... I don't think it is 100% impossible that it could be the real deal.
I mean, have you seen Phoenix Games PS2 cartoons? They actually got DVD releases! And deceiving cover arts!
The "live" jumping boy on the cover is taken from the Dreamstime stock image website and the background artwork stolen from Jorge Pacheco's Pachecotoons website! With so little self-respect... we can expect the worse for the content.
The studio MAY be real but i doubt that well ever find out because unless if someone posts pictures of the actual location of the studio, there would be no proof backing it up so people wont believe it, and it most likely the anons didn't go there because it seems kind of odd that they would go through all that trouble to go there and not take pictures to prove it
Then again why does it matter if the studio is where it says it is if they wouldn't give us info anyway? I mean it got pulled from stores for a reason.
BTW has anyone asked the artist of he cover WHO asked him to draw it, because we may be able to get there actual phone number from it.

Both accounts have only one video each, appeared within a week of each other in Spring 2015, and have similarly-constructed names ("paperluigi365 _" and "gamerguy324 _"). I think it's alt accounts of the same guy.
