A French newspaper called Le Monde has written an article about our search for ADWSS. Being a Canadian teacher, I was able to translate it to English, but my French is a little rusty. So I'm sorry if there may be some grammar errors and words that don't belong in certain places. I'll include the original article at the bottom of the post. If you can't read French, run it through Google translator.
The obsessive quest of a film on SpongeBob ... that may have never existed Since this summer, a quest of slightly obsessive users mobilized determined to find an alleged "fake-documentary unauthorized" the cartoon character, as Gawker says. "Officially" released in 2011, A Day with SpongeBob SquarePants: The Movie has never been seen by any person.
Whimsical employee fast food living in the bottom of the ocean, SpongeBob is the hero of a TV series in existence for 16 years and two successful films. The character is known throughout the world, for both young and old generations.
Mysterious clues in Web crannies
Which perhaps explains why research of this "hidden” film is interesting. Users, fierce and full of hope, decided to pull their skills and keep a journal of their investigation. Supposed to be released directly to DVD in very few copies, the mysterious movie is not found on any download sites, legal or illegal. We are not even talking about physical copies or existence on Netflix.
But indications exist, hidden in unfrequented corners of the Web. The film was reportedly seen several times on eBay. It has an official page on Amazon and there is of course the cover photo with the poster without SpongeBob, but with a little boy dressed in orange jumping in the air.
Doubt settles...
But over the weeks, the existence of the film, and therefore the necessity of the quest, appears questionable. We discovered that the new criticism of the Amazon page was published in late 2015, while the film was supposedly released in 2011.
Critic extracts plastered on the DVD cover are themselves manufactured. The child is supposed to embody the hero only "stock photo", an image used in mass and sold as illustration. The production company, Inovisim Films, could never have existed.
Yet periodically to new tracks appear via forums like 4Chan. Alleged screenshots, new critical. Or video excerpts, quickly denounced as rude fixtures.
False pictures, false criticism, but true hope
These elements, recorded on the page of the digital investigation, which restore every time Internet users the faint hope that all this will not be a mere hoax that becoming self-sustaining.
Although this film exists and is available somewhere, its quality will surely present little interest. The frenzy it creates seems only linked to its mysterious nature and the challenge it represents.
As for Internet immersed in an almost unlimited cultural, it is almost inconceivable to find what one is looking for online. Those looking for the Hidden SpongeBob film continue the hunt to find even more to watch for.
Yep pretty much. I feel as though they were being assholes and sort of insulting us compared to Gawker. I don't know why. It's just a weird vibe I got when translating.
Maybe it's just the way the French media works and acts. No offence to anyone on here who's French.
Guys, I know a lot of us have been feeling down in the dumps due to the unfortunate lack of progress. But we can't just give up. We have come much too far for that. Even though I have only been a part of this search for a few months, the progress we have made in that time perioid has been astounding. In December, nobody knew if this movie was even finished or if it was even real. Now, thanks to great contributions by ThatsJustLo, we know the movie was completed and existed, and that at least one person outside of Reagal has seen it. I am begging you guys not to give up. The reason no one has ever found Polybius, as Obscurus mentioned, is because it never existed in the first place. It's an urban legend created by people with way too much time on their hands. We KNOW ADWSS exists. We're gonna find it, no matter how long it takes. I believe in us.

Possibly IMPORTANT Update: I have managed to get in contact with someone from Reagal,If I'm correct I remember him being an actor.Whats so important about this is that he's willing to cooperate with us and does not deny any involvement! Anyone who thinks they have a good idea of a question we could ask him, please tell me!(I apologize for covering up my name and picture,That is something I want to keep private Here!Take a look!

Lol 12 downvotes, this is why I hate Imgur, you get tons of people looking at your shit that wasn't intended for them. Not to mention I'm on mobile and it informed me that I could swipe left/right to see other images in the most obnoxious way possible, by sticking a GIANT cat paw on the screen and waving it around for a while, completely obscuring all of the text for a good 5 seconds. Nice find though, let's hope this one actually leads to something.
