Christine Chubbuck Tape

I do not want to argue, but, having suffered from depression, I cannot say that she probably fully "knew the consequences" of her plans that day. She was clearly mentally ill, and I think it is slightly suspect to use reasoning someone made in a moment of intense grief and illness as a representation of "What they would have wanted". Again, not to argue, just my opinion.

Honestly it shouldn’t. The audio isn’t confirmed as 100% true and there are a lot of questions like who’s leaked this, why did it leaked and what’s the source of this audio? It’s really strange if you really think of it. There’s only one copy left, supposedly on a Law Firm. The incident aired once, with very low ratings and before VHS recorders. Nevertheless I do think the audio is real, but again a lot of questions.

Regarding if the search should end. It will never end, people have looked for the tape for decades, even before this wiki existed. There are two movies of the incident, Christine, like it or not, has become some sort of an Internet legend.

I mean if we are still harping on whether the tape is real or not, I think there is logically one way to solve this: Gordon Galbraith. He was the one that truly debunked the NationSquid video, and, if there is someone out there who would know if this sounds like what he heard, it would be him. I of course am not saying go out and bug him, but I feel like he would be the closest we have to an authority on the subject.

How did they even find it in the first place? That's the million dollar question.

From what I can tell they bought it from a collector. I do not know who this collector may be. It could be the person on YouTube, could be someone entirely different. I am not sure, but anon1974 doesn't seem too eager to be apart of this search anymore.
