I really don't see how anyone could claim to be 100% certain the first one was fake... or certain that it was real. There's too much conflicting evidence and unanswered questions at the moment, just wait a little bit and we'll know the truth. I'm almost positive this guy's next video will be directly related to this - if is isn't, that would be a major mistake on his part.
You guys, it wouldn't be in a 'Lost Footage' video if it was found.
Hint: When faking something, make it as blurry and indecipherable as possible.
C'mon guys; the wide shot, the over-the-top distortion; the real thing most likely has just as good of quality as the already existing footage of Christine.
People should just start mocking this guy and make 'Mystery of' videos about this. It's fake. This is the new Blank Room Soup. Like who has time to do this and for what reason?

I'm still not completely sold either way.
The blurriness and distortion could be attributed to the fact that it'd have been in storage for 40+ years in unknown conditions. The wide shot could be a result of this footage being from a secondary camera.
Having said all that, I am definitely leaning towards fake. It's looking more and more like a very well executed stunt for NationSquid's channel.
The period key and coma key will be our friends when looking at the new footage.
And to everyone who says it's fake, it's a damn good reenactment if it is fake, which still has value when searching.
Not leaning either way on authenticity though.
EDIT: WAIT... that black-and-white dress looks a lot like a sweater... maybe this was a fake shot with a sweater... (I'm not fooking kidding when I say this.)

Privileged white trash lol. If you're lonely, talk to me on the Discord.
The ultimate kicker is I think they just faded to commercial instead of a technical difficulties screen, which is what that Rick Klein guy said.
As I said though, I think we're all overthinking it because it starts and ends with the footage being in a "lost footage" video; it wouldn't be lost then.

It supposedly faded to black, not commercial (according to reports from the time, which Rick was referencing).
As for the whole being in his "Lost" video, I wouldn't use that as a good point of reference. He put the Columbine tapes in his "Found" video and they are still largely unavailable. Not to mention he played the supposedly faked Grizzly Man audio in his Lost video, but its legitimacy, while heavily doubted, has never been 100% proven either way.
About the fade-to-black thing - keep in mind those descriptions were written by people after the fact, possibly without re-watching the footage. There's a reason eyewitness testimonies aren't allowed to be used in court anymore, and it's because human memory is very faulty. Given the traumatic nature of the event, it's only natural that people may have misremembered some of the technical details while only focusing on the big picture that a woman just shot herself. If it's fake then I'd imagine the real tape has a few inconsistencies with the descriptions as well.
Besides, the fade-to-black was one of the most important details we had - if someone went to THAT much trouble of recreating the set in perfect detail, I doubt they would just *forget* how it ended. And for what it's worth, it does fade to black a second after showing the technical difficulties slide (while the tape distortion keeps going, so you can tell it's not just an end-of-the-video fadeout on Nationsquid's part).
Ok, I'm going to copy and paste my reply on the NS forum that basically confirms that he's ignoring us on purpose
Ok, so I basically have confirmation that Nationsquid intentionally ignored us.

Its a fake. A very entertaining, creepy fake. But a fake nontheless. I doubt the real thing would have that much distortion, and the way the body falls strikes me as over the top.
The only thing that I want to know is how the fuck he was able to make such an accurate recreation with only 13k subs and 18 videos.
If the initial subject matter he chose wasn't so morbid, and assuming he did make it himself, I WOULD suggest him turning this whole ordeal into a "Smashified"-type series, where he showcases the process behind realistically recreating various pieces of lost media... I bet that'd gain him some more subs for being an interesting idea, even if people are mad at him at first for hoaxing them (just like the how the real Smashified started!!)
