I want to set the record straight, Virgo and Libra do exist. I recorded every premiere episode of Spongebob from mid-season 1 to mid-season 3 yes that includes the original airing of Shanghied too. I always recorded the commercials too. Not only did I record the episodes’ premieres but also the occasional mid-day airing or Saturday morning airing after the fact. If memory serves me right Virgo was Mrs Puff wearing what appeared to be a witches hat, Libra might have been either Plankton’s girlfriend the computer monitor (can’t remember her name or if she had one,) or for some reason a vague memory is showing Gary dressed up as something.

I also want to note that at the time I had one of the top five running Spongebob fan sites on the internet I was the only site to feature all the title cards for every episode as I always recorded them and it was easy to pause and take a photo with my digital. If you remember Sara’s Spongebob site you will know the legtiamticey of my post. I was “JustinHQ” and ran through the geocities server.

One last thing, I have not watched my original airings or tapes since moving to PA in late 2003, they were at my parents house last time I checked when I go over there I will bring them all back and watch each tape thoroughly because I recorded the bumpers and commercials there may be footage on these tapes that no one has even remembered or thought of which means it truly is LOST, I guess.

Yes, I don’t want to say it but you are relying on the fact that he actually took the time to look at all the shorts on YT and confirm that those are actually the only ones that exist, does that make sense? There could have been only three known to be posted online and his response would be the same. I am 90% sure what I remember is accurate and I have them recorded on tape. I not only watched the majority of episodes seasons 1 though 3 premiere but would re-watch what I taped on my own created network called “JCN” Which stood for my first name, last name and of course network. What I mean by this is that I would record other Nick shows throughout the week and on Saturday and Sunday me and my friend would pretend to air them on my network in other words pop in the tape and watch it multiple times. It was pretend and we were kids but loved Nickelodeon, still do and I always was one to be ahead of my years so saying I preserved an essentially lost era of the network is quite an achievement especially after I learned about the fascination with lost media.

I'm glad the search is still alive for this one. I always hoped that Virgo and Libra existed. Vincent's memory could be a bit off, and these two could actually exist. I look forward to your finds, youthcoup89.

Radiant Lloyd Firefly, I completely understand your skeptism in this matter. I, myself am not even 100% sure if my recollection is accurate or not. I am just allowing everybody to know that there is a possibility. I should have rephrased my initial statement by not identifying the two lost shorts as Virgo and Libra as they may have been other signs yet to be confirmed. I have not had a chance to go look for my tapes but as soon as I do I will update everybody along the way.

Like many on here I consider myself a fan, my memory is good but how good is it? I can recall what I mentioned above as being a possibility and not a figment of my imagination I want to say Gary was wearing cat ears or a scarf with earmuffs but again this is just speculation on my part from what my memory is allowing me to remember. Contrary to what many say the shorts aired quite frequently sometimes twice in one 30 minute episode.

I have a few tapes now in my possession. I have a lot of recorded material from 1999-2003 I am going to begin going through the tapes to locate any “lost” material. Stay tuned for future updates ..
