I'm asking because I'm interested how you play it. My favourite things to do there are character customization, decorating the houses, making families (genetics!) and mastering skills and jobs. I currently play The Sims 3, more preciselly Sunlit Tides but (using Nrass mods) with ALL Danganronpa characters if you know what that is (there are many married couples there lol). If you use the page Mod the Sims you can find me under the name "Sad4Ever". I'll post some gameplay pictures there later. If you really like the Sims, I reccomend to check out YT channel "Lazy Game Reviews" and his gameplays. I first played the Sims 2 when I was child (starting at 5). I usually played in Strangetown (it still is my fav world) because how creepy yet interesting it was. There is even a spinoff console game which focuses of the characters living there. I then got only 2 expansions: Seasons and Pets. Sadly, I played it on laptop which broke 2 years ago (it was over a decade old!). I was then 13. Luckily, even before I had the Sims 3 so I continued to play there... My fav town there is Moonlight Falls, but also Sunlit Tides and the one with desert idk This game is a sort of my escapism you see. Since I dont have friends and such I can spent there for 3 hours straight. You may call it a opsessions but I don't. And yeah, the Sims 4 SUCKS. I dont have an opinion for the Sims 1 because I was then too young to play it.
I fondly remember playing the first two games in the series on the PlayStation 2 as it was an incredibly fascinating concept for me at the time that you are in control of the Sims' lives and that the game allows you to either care for their needs and wants or make them do sadistic acts like setting fires on purpose with no fire alarms around the house and see if any of them survive (though I always feel bad for one of my Sims who gets caught in the flames and dies afterwards, as I always beg for the Grim Reaper to bring the deceased Sim back to life promising to not do it again).
Yes, I was a bit of sadist as a kid, but I mostly did the "setting things on fire" out of boredom.
Despite the frustrations of normal day life we go through, the best thing to do about it is still being happy for our friends and family.
