While I was watching a lot of YTV (Canada) bumpers and commercial breaks, I came across a 3 Hairy Thumbs Up (a movie block for YTV) bumper from 2002 that mentions that "Goosebumps" is coming up next. I was confused and interested at the same time and thought, "Why would they air a TV series on a movie block?" I have some guesses/thoughts: either it was a mistake, a television complation movie, they wanted to air an episode just for fun, it was a one hour TV special that was mistaken as a real movie, or an earlier theatrical film adaption of "Goosebumps" that was long forgotten until it aired on YTV. Here's the link to the bumper: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HQ6U_Dinjo
The pilot for the show, The Haunted Mask, was presented as a TV movie, I believe, and there are some movie guide books, like VideoHound's Golden Movie Retriever, that list it as a "movie." So it might be that.
