Is there any way to retrieve it now that the DSi shop has closed? I remember hearing before that DSiware games have been dumped, but are only playable on DSi emulators such as No$GBA. So, I was wondering if the rom or something similar was ever dumped?

Edit: Agh, I probably should've elaborated more.

Cave Story was a freeware game realeased in 2004. Ever since then, indie publisher Nicalis has made several ports, one for the DSi. This version was digital-exclusive, and since the DSiware service discontinued a couple of months ago, it supposedly can't be obtained through normal means again.

However, from what I've seen, DSiware games can be extracted in one form or another, so I was wondering if there was anywhere these dumps of the game could be downloaded, if they ever were dumped in the first place.

1. I'm like, 99% sure that someone has already dumped this and uploaded it to 3DSISO. Correct me if I'm wrong.
2. I actually bought this exact version many years ago, but my 3DS isn't CFW'd yet. I'd be happy to rip this for archival purposes if I could figure out how, but I'm no fuckin techie and it probably won't be playable. The only thing this version of the game even had IIRC was the main game, a jukebox and a boss rush mode, all of which are also on Cave Story+
