So, there is this show that premiered around 2008 on Sprout called Frances. A total of six episodes were produced, but only three sought a DVD release in early 2009 (Bedtime for Frances, A Whiny Sister for Frances, A Cupcake for Frances). The others, from what I have seen, were supposed to have a DVD release in October of the same year, but was never issued. So, from what I've researched, only four have known names ( Bread and Jam for Frances, Bedtime for Frances, A Whiny Sister for Frances, A Cupcake for Frances), only three were released on DVD (Bread and Jam was not),I remember a fifth, and have no idea about the sixth episode except for the fact that it exists. I'd like to add that the 3D animation is kind of s**t . I recall that they used the same technology for Sid the Science Kid, which to me looks pretty mediocre.
The Fifth Episode: This epsiode from what I have seen is lost. I have seen no mention of this episode or anything like it. It is about Frances making Sea creatures out of clay, along with her friend Albert. Albert makes a seahorse and Frances asks, " Is that the head?" Albert replies, " No, it's the tail, it's kinda smushed." Frances shows him her clay fish. I think Frances may have pretended to be a shark, and Albert was holding the fish at the time, and then he dropped it and it breaks. Frances is upset and says, almost over dramatically, " Albert, you broke my fish! It was the most prettiest fish ever and you broke it!" She gets mad, Albert feels bad or whatever, you know cliche stuff like that. Later, Albert calls Frances and Frances is all like, " I'm not your friend anymore." Albert is saying stuff to try and convince her to be his friend. She keeps refusing. Albert says " What about our treasure hunt in the sandbox when we turn five?!" It is visible that Frances is looking forward to that as much to that as Albert, and she says, " Well, I've never really thought about that..." You know, they make up and are friends again, I don't really remember what happens at this part. I apologize that my memory is kind of hazy.
Bread and Jam for Frances: I saw this on a wiki and its source lead me to a site that no longer shows the episode. But it is based on the book of the same name. Frances loves bread and jam and won't eat anything else. Her family are all eating boiled eggs for breakfast, and Frances says something like, "yuck". Her dad starts asking if she likes any eggs, and starts listing different types," poached, scrambled, etc.) Frances proudly yells "Nope!" And the dad says "Well excuse me"in a joking tone, with Frances little sister, Gloria, repeating the phrase. She eventually gets sick of bread and Jam and starts eating other things. I recall a scene at lunch where Albert and Frances are eating, but don't know the context or what they were talking about. This episode seems to be the one that is lost but has the most information. Whenever I try to look it up, it leads me to the book.
Episode 6: I honestly have no idea what this one is about. It could be my memory being hazy or that I never saw it.
