When I was a teenager in the mid 2000s, I got into manga and I read random stuff that was just at the library. I remember there was one that took place in an Arabian Nights setting. The main character was bald and wore a turban, and his outfit looked like Disney's Aladdin, like just a vest with a bare chest. Don't remember the plot but he flew around on a magic carpet. There might have been an animal companion, maybe a bird or dragon. It took place mostly in the desert.
I never remember seeing the manga anywhere else outside of the library, so it must have been some random thing they bought. I think they had 2 volumes of it. The manga was in English. The publisher must have been something more obscure, so this wasn't Viz, Tokyopop, or Yen Press.
The art was sort of doofy looking. Like people eyes would be too big or their noses looked weird. It wasn't the most appealing style. It was a very 90s or early 2000s style. Leaned more shonen.
