Hello friends, I bring you another case of unidentified cartoons from the children's program Glub-Glub.
For those who don't know what I'm referring to, I repeat my mantra: In the 90's, there was a kids' show in Brazil called Glub Glub. It consisted of two fish, called Glub and Glub, talking with each other while watching the 'underwater TV'. There they would showcase european cartoons every episode. That's where this show gets interesting. Many of these cartoons were very obscure, are missing a lot of episodes or we don't know their original names or even who created it, because Glub Glub would only show the country where it came from (they cut the original opening/closing credits).
A 1992 VHS recording of the show recently surfaced on YouTube. In this issue, the following cartoons are shown:
As listed above, this episode contains yet another unidentified cartoon. At minute 3:28, the female Glub presents a cartoon, referred to as "the case of the mushrooms".
In it, a boy (or possibly a girl?) goes out to the forest to collect mushrooms. Although he is frustrated at first, he eventually finds a giant mushroom. This mushroom is so big that it scares everyone who sees it.
The cartoon has no dialogues, just music and sound effects. In fact, this entire silence is suspicious to me, as it seems that in the original there should have been some type of narration that here in Brazil was omitted. The animation here can be sometimes a bit simple, but other times it can be fluid. But there's something unfortunate and curious: there is no reference to this cartoon not even in the program's closing credits, where the cartoons are listed by country. So with this maybe it could become just another cold case, sadly.
I don't even know where to start looking. Can anyone help?
