What is some of the most unusual, strange or just weirdest cover songs you have heard? Share them here. Here are some I have heard:
Reel Big Fish "Take on Me" originally by A-ha
Probably most covers sang by Wing. Some of you may only know her from South Park. I first found out about her in the late 90s or early 2000s when I was out with my dad and a local DJ on the radio was playing one of her cover songs. I know in terms of great singing voices hers is far from the best, but I can't help liking her. Some of her covers:
Michael Jackson's "Beat It"
AC/DC Highway to Hell
Dancing Queen
Pokerface
While not a cover, after looking for these Wing videos, I came across this gem I saw years ago and forgot about. "Santa Clause on a Helicopter":
There is one on your favourite cover songs: forums.lostmediawiki.com/thread/15073/favorite-cover-songs but that is for your favourites, this is just more on unusual, strange or weird cover versions of songs, they don't have to be your favourite as the ones I post wouldn't be my favourite cover versions of those songs.
The Detroit Rock City soundtrack had several classic rock songs covered by then-popular modern rock bands. Some of them were good like The Donnas take on the KISS classic "Strutter", while others like 4 Non Blondes cover of Van Halen's "I'm the One" were absolutely dire.
