What's your favorite thing about the lost media community?

I personaly like the archaving of everything

I always adored how passionate people are about the stuff they find and want to archive. No matter how niche or strange the lost media is, somebody is willing to look for it. I personally think that's really beautiful.

This is also my first time being on a forum that has been mainly nice to me as compared to how it was for me back then. I love being around people who have niche interests like I do and are willing to talk about it free of judgement.

The general togetherness and camaraderie.

While it seems few and far between these days, I like how sometimes when a search starts for some media, it can turn into a bigger search which has the potential for whatever reason, to end up more interesting than the media might normally be. Some examples of this are the most mysterious song on the internet, Clockman from Nickelodeon or Cracks from Sesame Street:





I also like finding out about media that I wouldn't have known about normally.

I love how many really obscure stuff have been found.
