What's a "piece of media" that you don't understand? Could be games, movies, comics, books, TV series, websites, plays, news papers, concerts, or presentations.
For me, it would be Dinosaur Train. Several characters' existences make no sense.
"The Killing of a Sacred Deer" movie. I am fairly certain my parent put it on 90% because they really like Nicole Kidman. I guess I kinda get the basic concept, but I still don't "get" what it was trying to say. Maybe it was just too artsy for me to grasp, I dunno.
Okay, I know financially WHY it exists but it still baffles me: that Suicide Squad isekai AND made by Wit studio of all studios! It just feels like 2 things that really don't belong together IMO.
</div></div></div>That's how I feel about "A Serious Man", like seriously what was supposed to be the point of that movie. That life sometimes sucks in general and there's nothing you can do about it? Also We Need to Talk About Kevin, WTF was that nonsense?
Also most Best picture winners and nominees in general, many are too pretentious for my tastes.

I don’t get the fandom for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I get it as a cute show for young kids, but I don’t understand how/why is became an obsession for so many adults and teens. Same can be said for Bluey.

Agreed sooooo much. Like I can see why adults are drawn to say Arthur, but those shows? I'm just not seeing it.
