So most FM fans are aware that originally in 1989 when it debuted, the theme song was Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World. It showed Carl running into the police precinct and waving to his fellow cops, and slightly longer footage (like 2 seconds more) of him and Eddie playing basketball. I saw a “remastered” version when it reran on ABC Family but I haven’t been able to find it since. All that exists on YouTube is the same worn down VHS rip from SitcomsOnline or RetroJunk. Yes it does exist … but I want to see the ABC Family restoration. Mostly for Carl running into the station, as I’d like to fully “remaster” the original WaWW intro. I tried to before, but the clips on the DVD disc for the first few episodes of season 1 were kind of shortened and it didn’t look right playing them in reverse to make it seem longer. It’s also to the first slightly modified version of As Days Go By so of course they would’ve shortened all the clips. know it’s silly but I like doing these kind of edits.

Do you remember when you saw that version on ABC Family? Cause I did find some reruns of this show from that channel but they had the As Days Go By intro and not the Louie Armstrong one.
I should’ve specified more clearly … yes they only showed the modified As Days Go By intro, with the footage of Carl running in the station, not WaWW. I probably saw it maybe 10 ish years ago, I think that’s the last time Family Matters reran on ABC Family before it became Freeform. I hope I didn’t cause confusion.
