I started playing games as a kid on computer, but I had a mix of games between MS-DOS and CDs. Some of my earliest computers were Windows 95 and Windows 98, which makes sense as I was born in 1995 and would have been no more than 5 years old using these systems before upgrading to Windows XP.
The Spider-Man game I remember was pixilated but still pretty vivid on details, like other PC games of the era. It looked like digitized versions of an animated TV show, even though I don't recall watching a Spider-Man show growing up like Spider-Man 1994. The game had a level in which Spider-Man climbs up a brick building, passing by windows, and dodging obstacles, in order to capture Hobgoblin. This was my introduction to this character in any media. He would swoop onto the screen every so often so you can land a few hits on him.
I have looked through videos on YouTube of "every spiderman game" or "every game with Hobgoblin", even wikia lists, and this game didn't appear on them. I do wonder if this was part of a larger Marvel game with other characters and therefore both Spider-Man and Hobgoblin weren't headlining it. I dont recall mich more from the gameplay or the level designs. It's possible it could be a web browser game but since I was so young when I played, I doubt I would have been on the internet unsupervised.
