Goosebumps "The Beast From the East" I was around 8 when I read it. At the time it came out, our school was having a book fair (possibly one of the Scholastic Book Fairs) where you could get and keep one of the books. As soon as I saw the cover for The Beast From The East, I knew I had to have it. This was the UK cover with embossed bubbles and embossed Goosebumps text on it which I prefer over the US covers. It was my first Goosebumps book and I soon became hooked on reading all of them. It inspired me to want to keep reading books. It also inspired me to want to write stories which I am doing now and hope to get published one day.
