Series of books starring spherical people.

In the early 2010s, I remember looking at one of the books from a series of books that feature spherical-shaped people. It has the spherical children getting lost in a forest along with their pet dog. At the beginning of the book, they pass by the fire station where a fireball and his pet dalmatian live. The book also shows the names of the characters and the back cover shows other books in the series including one where they go to the future.
