The commercial mainly comprises of giant app icons floating over a city skyline, including Facebook, Angry Birds, and one featuring the head of a duck or goose (this could’ve been DuckDuckGo, but definitely not Twitter) and then it shows a kid using an iPad for a few seconds before cutting back to the city and the app icons as words appear in the middle and the commercial ends.
There could’ve been more to it, but it’s been so long that I can’t remember.
I tried searching for help on TV Tropes’ “You Know That Show” forum 4 years ago in 2020, but had no luck as no one responded. 2 weeks ago I tried Reddit on both “HelpMeFind” and “TipOfMyTongue” and still couldn’t find it. (People reached out, but none prevailed)
If you have any clue on what this commercial was for, please let me know! And if you can find it, please share it as well! Thank you!

this sounds weird. What could it have promoted and was it a different region than the US?

Well for one thing, I'm from Canada so I saw the commercial on Canadian airwaves.
And I think it was 2011 when I saw this commercial. My older sister was six back then, and I was three.
Maybe we can look through Canadian kids channel commercial breaks like TreehouseTV, or YTV, or even CBC. I never recorded any old commercial breaks, so we have to search deep through YT.
