i made an account just to post about this because it's been killing me for years, i have no idea if it's lost or just online somewhere and haven't found it.
around the time cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2 was coming out i distinctly remember a television ad that begins with a remix of the "butter frog" scene, specifically using the sound of the "butter" line and the mosquito that bites the frog. it stood out to both me and my brother in particular, as we used to quote/reference the melody of the song often (and still do on occasion). the part im referencing might be part of a bigger ad. it was definitely on TV, likely cartoon network or nickelodeon since those 2 channels were on 25/8 in my house. this ad played multiple times to promote the movie, so it wasn't a random one off commercial or anything. i should mention there's no additional music in the ad (at least at the start) since it's being created by the butter frog sound effects.
does anyone also have memories of this, or have a link to the ad? ive been dying to see it again for years but haven't come up on anything.. i know that this is real, if it were just me misremembering things my brother wouldn't have the same memory. also aware there's a small meme around this scene but im not confusing it with a meme edit since i wasn't aware it was a thing until i started looking into it.
please tell me at least one other person remembers this
