What is a "popular franchise" you have NEVER "experienced"

Really? that's pretty shallow on his part, you should definitely check it out. That reminds me of that one episode of Recess where Vince's parents won't let him see a popular comedy movie because his parents find the lead actor annoying.

I partially experienced the Scott Pilgrim franchise. I got into Anamanaguchi during the early 10's and listened to some of the songs they made for the Scott Pilgrim game.

For some reason I wasn't motivated enough to watch the movie, read the comics, or play the game. I at least watched the Adult Swim short.

I regret sleeping on this IP.

If OP counts store chains. I keep seeing Redditors praising Trader Joes or Aldis everytime I am on a post asking if product x from store x is good and often times people suggest a similar product from the aforementioned stores.

Honestly, it kind of rubs me the wrong way because I come from a dystopian city that lacks decent grocery stores. I only go to Fredmeyer or Costco to do my grocery shopping. Sometimes Walmart if I am after a certain product. The other stores are overpriced (like Safeway) or don't have a large selection.

I cross my fingers to have those worshipped stores in my area someday. But let's face it, I might end up getting another unnecessary fast food restaurant or boring car lot. Like we already have enough of those...
