What is a "media franchise" or "pop culture phenomenom" you have just never experienced? Could be games, movies, comics, books, TV series, websites, "media experiences," anything. Any reason why?
For me 1. Metal Gear Solid. Never played any of the games. Love the "style," writing, and themes though. Want to someday, but they are stealth games and I SUCK at those :/
2. I sadly stopped reading a lot when I hit college so I have missed out on a LOT of the fictional book world since then. The last "big family/YA book series" I bothered to fully commit to and read was Percy Jackson, I think.
3. I have seen 1/4 of a single episode of Rick and Morty, and just never felt the need to watch anything beyond that.
4. SO MANY TV SHOWS. My family was pretty strict growing up in terms of media, so I have never watched Seinfeld, Married with Kids, That 70s Show, Friends, Gilmore Girls, Lost, The Sopranos, the Wire, Supernatural, Dexter, South Park, etc. outside of clips on Youtube, and that was a lot later in life. The "closest" I got was reading about them in TV guides, schedules, and magazines and on Wikipedia <_<
Azuki<3 coming in with the best threads as usual. I'm "anti-main stream" so, I haven't really experienced a lot of this stuff. But I've never really had a proper/good experience with GTA outside of memes.
I'm nothing but a mass of concrete yet my heart is calling my name

I haven't seen a ton of pretty popular anime. out of the big 3 I've only seen Naruto (I did watch the live action one piece tho) never seen dragon ball or sailor moon either.
Ive also never really watched star trek. my mom tried to get me to watch it when I was younger but I thought it was boring.

1. Almost any video game franchise other than Pokemon, PAC-Man, Professor Layton, and Mario (and that was only at other people’s houses).
2. Pretty much any anime other than Pokemon, Digimon, and Sailor Moon. I got secondhand exposure to Yu-Gi-Oh, Naruto, One Piece, and Hamtaro through my brother and DBZ through a friend.
3. Most every Netflix original series aside from Twelve Forever and Hilda (just for the first season). I normally don’t have the service.
4. Actually pretty much any TV-MA rated show, I’ve seen only one episode at most. They’re just not for me.
I have never experienced almost every single Anime except Pokémon, Cory In The House, Sonic X, and Kirby Right Back At Ya.
We didn't got FoxBox with my local Fox station (for some reason), and the DVDs seemed hard to come by, so I actually didn't watch Sonic X AND Kirby Right Back at Ya until this year! And I'm very glad I did, they are both super charming shows IMO.

I don't think I've finished the manga for ANY of the big 3 TBH, nor have I finished Sailor Moon or OG Dragon Ball/Z. Like I start one of these series, and then either I get distracted by other things, and/or the library is missing volumes and I get thrown off and just stop. I know reading them online is an option, but digital libraries aren't the best for manga, plus I don't have my tablet anymore and that was my preferred way to "read online."

Yeah, I've never even sampled a GTA game before. I respect the franchise, I just don't think it's going to be my thing.
Doctor Who. I caught a VERY brief glimpse on BBC America, realized that I had no clue what was going on, and then promptly changed the channel (and never changed it back). Plus it's such a massive franchise that I wouldn't even know where to begin.
My only exposure to MLP has been through fan works, I've never watched an actual full episode of the show (not counting fandubs, abridged series, etc.)
I will say it is possible to brute force your way through a lot of MGS, you don't have to be stealthy ALL the time, in fact I Rambod my way through most of MGS3 and 4 and it's a perfectly viable strategy for V. So i'd recommend giving them a shot on the easier difficulties, stealth isn't a "must" unless you're playing on the hard modes.
I've never touched the Ace Attorney series personally as it's not really my thing.
Do you remember which Rick and Morty episode it was? cause there are some not-so-great that could give one a bad impression of the show.
