I remember back in 2002 the site www.toomunchfun.com had a bunch of really fun flash games. Despite the fact that the games were all tied into various Kraft food products, hahaha. Trying to go to the website nowadays just leads to a website for Kraft food recipes. Using the Internet Wayback Machine you can see the site as it was back then, here is a link to when I remember visiting it. Unfortunately, a lot of the pictures and flash elements on the page are not archived, which is not unusual for archived versions of pages. The specific game I'm looking for was called "The Quest for Cheese". Here is the only screenshot of the game I can find from a later version of the site.
It was a pretty fun little puzzle platformer, one among many games that seem to be gone now. Some basic Google searching led me nowhere. Is there any good place to start trying to track this little game down, or is it lost forever?
Oh my goooosh, I loved that site, I remember playing Quest for Cheese a lot when I was younger. I remember it stuck out a lot to me because I thought the graphical style was weird, haha. It was so disappointing when they took the site down, I used to play for hours.
Unfortunately, I've got no advice, I just wanted to thank you for sparking my nostalgia.
I found it: oneweakness.com/quest-for-cheese - confirmed working - if it doesn't work for you, I recommend downloading Netscape, as being old, it runs old shockwave games perfectly.
It looks like this guy finds and uploads these old games on request, so if he's still active you're in luck!
That's awesome! Thank you for finding this. To be honest, I didn't expect such an odd thing to be archived anywhere. The game isn't nearly as good as I remember it, hahaha.
No problem! I guess there's always someone who's archived a piece of media. It does look pretty good and holds up for a shockwave game from 2002 as well!

You can download games in their original .SWF format using Firefox browser. It can be a 5-10 minute process but is possible, ive done it many times. Doesnt work on all games though

It seems most of the games are .DCR files on this site.
Edit 2: It turns out the game runs seemingly perfectly if you just open the page I found in Pale Moon browser. The DCR by itself seems not to work without tinkering.
Edit 3: Just realised that the game was already found on another site. Perhaps there are other games on here not archived elsewhere?
