I'm honestly surprised that vocaloid is getting an actual anime now. I mean, I know there was a manga and games in the past, but a whole anime series? Did hololive mania help revive vocaloid-esque culture, or is it mid to late 00s nostalgia, I wonder (I first saw a Miku video in 2009, I think)? Or both?

there's different vocaloids that act as instruments, you can buy their voice boxes then you actually have to tune them into songs and stuff. definitely not ai!
