Question. Has anyone ever contacted a broadcast company or a tv or radio station to ask if they have certain media in storage?
I’m curious if anyone thinks that this could possibly be a good way to search for various lost commercials, PSAs ect.

And I imagine that they’d have an archive of tapes that were sent out for distribution to certain stations.
Who only knows what’s sitting in storage at these places.

I have. Some stations keep damned near everything. Some pitch what they have after a certain period for whatever reason.

Weirdly enough some DuMont recordings were found in the archives of various DuMont affiliated stations as late as the 90s.

If it's NY there's a higher chance than most it could be cataloged by a university or even by the Paley Center for Media.
