Hey, wondering if anyone remembers a cartoon fishing game from the early 2010s. I’m gonna list off all the details I remember below:
I pretty vividly remember playing this game. Has anyone seen a game even remotely similar? Even screenshots, or maybe an old gameplay recording?
EDIT: I’m gonna put this on r/tipofmytongue as well. I’ve seen it mentioned a few times on the forums here so I’d assume it’s probably a good idea to ask about it there too.
EDIT 2: Update on the r/tipofmytongue thing. Ended up way too confused with the subreddit’s rules and posting process. Nothing against them, just can’t really figure it out
- I played the game sometime around 2012 to 2014 on a family computer. It was a browser game.
- The art was 2D and cartoony.
- It took place in the Arctic and featured a polar bear and possibly a penguin? I’m pretty sure the polar bear had spoken dialogue and explained the rules of the game.
- The fish were geometric shapes. I vividly remember a blue square-shaped fish and there was probably a triangle fish as well. There were a few of these, but for some reason the blue square fish is the only one I remember super clearly.
- The polar bear was sitting on the snow or ice on the right of the screen, and on the left of the screen (I think) was the water with the fish swimming in it. I think the screen might have scrolled downwards to show a better view of the water and the fish.
- This was probably NOT a WildTangent game. It was specifically about fishing and unless WildTangent had a game about a 2D polar bear fishing, I really don’t think it came from that. I know about Polar Bowler and it definitely was not that lmao
- It was possibly a game that originated from a TV channel website. Think Treehouse, PBS Kids, Cartoon Network, etc. I haven’t found any info that leads me to really believe that this game came from any of these, but y’know, I might just need to look more into them. I really don’t think it had a show tied to it though.
