i've been in this forum for who knows how long, but i want one thing that may "improve" the forums,
(first of all, im not even sure if this is in the wrong section)
a thread in the LMW Discussion that is pinned and locked by default,(so that only admins can talk on it) name should be "Warnings" for staff discussion regarding certain users doing unwise (bad) things
and here's a quick examples i made about how the thread should look like (note, all names are non-existent users and all links lead to my profile, i do not intend on wrecking havoc on these forums at all)
april 8, 2024 at 10:23pm admin1182: hello dear staff, i made this thread for discussion about users breaking the rules, feel free to make news about bans or warnings
april 8, 2024 at 11:40pm bigguyjoe: I belive this user should be banned, he's been making questionable threads with odd names, give him a 7-day timeout
april 8, 2024 at 14:05pm oddpersonout: banned, should any user also break the rules, they will be warned or banned depending on what they did
april 9, 2024 at 20:00am quincyrhymes: found a bot, banned
that is the suggestion, any thoughts? will it improve the forums?
HOWEVER, if announcing or talking about users being warned or banned is not allowed, then just forget about this thread, or maybe even lock it?
i do not have good expectations about this, something will definitely go wrong and will, so only time will tell?
I think that there's an option to make a private board that only users in specific groups can talk in. Just look at VIP lounge, you can't view it if you don't have VIP here.
This is what the report function is for. Us mods can discuss stuff in a report but usually I just handle it right away unless I need to check out the situation first.
I'm nothing but a mass of concrete yet my heart is calling my name
Also, banning isn't exactly a "Let's tell everyone thing" ya know? If someone does something to get banned and another person does it, they're swiftly banned too.
