Hello there, I thought this would be the perfect place to help me find an old movie I've been looking for for years.
So, let's start from the beginning with the technical stuff.
It was a movie that was being aired on television in a timeframe between 2000 and 2010, I cannot be more specific because this is an old memory but I'm fairly sure I couldn't have watched it before of after that range. If I had to guess, I'd say it was probably 2005 or around that year though.
I don't remember the channel, but I think it wasn't one of the main ones, I probably stumbled upon it while zapping in the afternoon. I think this is also time to mention that I'm not from the USA, I'm from Italy, so the channel was an Italian one and the movie was being broadcasted in its Italian dub. I say dub because it didn't seem to be an Italian movie by its look and feel and sound, it was probably a foreign one that was also distributed in Italy, explaining the existence of an Italian dub.
The movie looked quite old, I guess it was made during the 70s or 80s by its look and feel and sound, which would also explain why a small channel would have been able to broadcast it.
Ok, this is all I can remember about the technical aspects, so I guess it's time to tell you what I remember about the movie itself, which is the reason why I still vividly remember it to this day and why I've tried to find it for all this time (without success). It's worth noting that I didn't watch the whole thing as, as you'll about to read, it scared me, and also I don't know if it was the start of the movie since I reached it by zapping.
So here's what I remember about the plot. There is a little shepard boy looking after his herd, I have a faded memory about there also being a little sheepard girl, but I'm not sure about her, if she was really there she did the exact things the boy did during the next scene. After a while, the boy notices that something is wrong somehow, and he goes hiding behind a big rock in fear, in the meantime the movie focuses on the scared boy while you can hear the sheep screaming in the background and some kind of eerie atmosphere. After a while, all the noises stop and the shepard comes out of his hiding only to find all the sheep dead, but there is no blood or anything like that, the sheep are right there dead but they are skeletons now, with the wool attached and anything, but skeletons.
I was pretty scared at this point, but, before turning the tv off, I remember another scene where someone was discussing this phenomenon, as if it was some kind of entity whose whole presence/sight turned you into a skeleton.
That is all, I don't remember anything else, yet this memory is still engraved in my mind after all those years. I tried numerous times to look for it online without success, but maybe the lost media wiki was what I was missing, maybe you guys will be able to help me find it.
