Intro:
I am going to attempt to make this as specific as I possibly can given the little amount of information I have on the subject. I do believe it was a short film- and I believe I saw it on house of mouse, but I researched into that and did not find helpful results. It was most likely a Walt Disney film in !BLACK AND WHITE! I am hoping somebody else will have answers for me, or at the very least know what I'm talking about.
Context: I would always watch Walt Disney animation on my big TV in the living room when I was young. I am currently 16 years old. Whenever a short/movie would end, I would watch the next one that popped up on my YouTube feed. Autoplay. Either that, which is the more likely outcome; or it could be that I was watching The house of mouse Christmas special on Netflix. I have watched it on repeat countless times. My memory of the film may be choppy or incomplete.
Recall:
The film's major premise (from family heresay and memory) was Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Donald Duck all being shrunk down, set in what is most likely a huge living room with a giant Christmas tree, a train set coiling around the whole room, with the occasional addition of toys scattered around the very sprawling landscape. Donald Duck acted as the film's major villain, kidnapping Minnie Mouse and forcing Mickey to chase after Donald Duck to get her back. Donald's form of transportation was the train, and Mickey had a lot of trouble catching up to him (presumably, I am assuming.) There are some other landscapes they traveled through that I do not remember in full. But I recall a recurring candy house, like in Hansel and Gretel. (THIS CLAIM HAS NO BACKING AND COULD VERY WELL BE WRONG AND NOT INCLUDED IN THIS FILM.) I remember the climax, a major scene where Mickey was climbing up a Christmas tree, getting ornaments hurled at him by Donald, and hiding behind the 'leaves'? The ornaments broke, and something sentimental happened, which I really can't recall, but Mickey saved Minnie and got a kiss on the cheek at the end. There was a heavy focus on toys being used as weapons, and the occasional firing cannon. Once again, the film was in black and white. I have a 'screenshot' imbedded in my mind of Mickey doing the stereotypical cartoon running pose, the train tracks in the foreground and the Christmas tree in the background. I don't know what the hell he was running from. My mom remembers this film as well, and we did some research together, looked through lists, wikis, all of that. Nothing really came up, so I turn to these forums for proof that I am or am not insane. Sorry for such a lengthy text, I really want this to be detailed! ♡
