I guess an Uglies movie (based on a YA novel) just dropped on Netflix like today??? I think I read exactly one blurb about its production from 2006 to TODAY. Yeah, I read the books way back in the mid 00s, and I swear I remember reading about a "planned movie adaptation" back in like 2006 ROFL Wonder if it was a planned pre-pandemic release that got pushed back?
Speaking of Wii, I had no idea that Scooby Doo had multiple games on it, including First Frights and The Spooky Swamp. And I have to say, the art...does not look particularly appealing, which is likely why if I DID see these games, I blacked them out from my memory XD
</div>Nice! That's where I used to get my N64 games
I might still have a Play N Trade store shirt somewhere, actually. Our Play N' Trade got rebranded into a new original brand store, and then moved. Then it got robbed, there was a fire (arson or accident, don't recall), or both (the news about this place was VERY bizarre). And then it just...never came back AFAIK assuming it didn't rebrand again, and I missed the memo. Definitely miss it.

On Tubi, I just came across the movie Slappy and the Stinkers. I had a Junior novelization of it as a kid (it was something I got as a prize from school or something). Despite this, I never seen a single shred of evidence that such a movie existed until now.

On that note, I was surprised to find that Geronimo Stilton got a whole TV series in Europe in 2009. I remember seeing those books advertised all over kids/family magazines in the 00s! (also didn't know it was Italian, go figure)
Turns out, I have 5 more pieces of media that was actually released (a few of which, though, are upcoming projects):
The fact that "Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too" actually got an official release. I remembered when the movie got leaked online just because someone who worked on the film said that it "got cancelled due to the Warner Bros. Discovery merger" like what happened to the other planned Scooby-Doo movies that were near completion (Scoob: Holiday Haunt and Scooby-Doo: Haunted Highrise). The fact it got an official release by Warner Home Entertainment with only a few promotional material made people questioned that a Warner Bros Animation worker desperately sabotaged the release by leaking it early and made up a whole rumor about it.
Going on with the topic of Warner Bros "revived a movie project from before the Discovery merger", the re-confirmation of a "Adventure Time" movie in the works right now. I remembered hearing about Warner Animation Group working on bringing the series to the big screen back in 2015. I had no idea why we never got any new information after that. I never caught wind of the sudden announcement of the "Adventure Time" movie until The Roundtable did a video on the big announcements WBA showed to the public at Annecy 2024, which mentioned the movie is in the works once again. I did always assume the "Distant Lands" specials were actually going to be the movie before splitting the movie to 4 different parts entirely. That and the fact that I learned from Vailskibum that the live action "Ben 10" movie that was made for theaters and started developement in 2011 is now cancelled by Warner Bros, Discovery, something I thought already happened before the merger.
Any Disney DTV movie before/after I was born. What else can I say? Disney Channel airing those films most of the time are how I discovered those films.
Paramount Plus' "Everybody Hates Chris" animated revival in "Everybody Still Hates Chris". YouTube recommended me a promo for the series premiering on Comedy Central. It seems Paramount Plus also didn't do a good job at promoting new series, but Comedy Central, which didn't air the original live action series, is promoting the linear premiere.
"Max and the Midknights" still happening and premiered it's first episode on YouTube 4 months before the premiere of the series. I thought it got shelved like what happened to the Nicktoon adaptation of "Phoebe and Her Unicorn". Two series with a female lead thst got cancelled because Nickelodeon doesn't want any series targetting a female audience. I'm glad "Max and the Midknights" is still premiering and is a descent adaptation.

Much obliged for the info, especially on the Krypto front-I was confused as to whether it had been written off, canceled, or something else (I think Saberspark mentioned it in a video, and his limited info was as much as I knew). I do wonder if you're right about it being some sort of "inside job" to drum up fake publicity or something. Because that is VERY weird. But then again, this is the same company that axed that Scooby Doo holiday special that was basically COMPLETE, so I'm sure only the most brilliant minds over there at WB/Discovery /s
Oh yeah, apparently both the Adventure Time and Gumball movies are still in development? I assume in the case of AT, the hubbub around distant lands/Fionna and Cake may have helped get that back on track.
Oh noes, the Phoebe adaptation got canceled? Those are super fun books and ideal for an adaptation! They feel pretty timeless in their content and humor overall, so yeah, ideal (I first learned about them at some The Last Unicorn themed event and got curious). and UGH I can't believe they are STILL using that same "no female leads" they were using years, if not decades ago. Female fronted media, as long as it's written to the same standard/quality of male media, can do just as well as male fronted media, even if the merch sales aren't quite up to snuff (you can make up for it in other ways, look at how shoujo manga still maintains a solid audience abroad).
</div>I actually had a scooby doo game for the Wii. don't remember the name but I remember the game being pretty difficult (in my defense I was like 6 lol)
A BUNCH of W.i.t.c.h comic related stuff: Apparently the "new" W.i.t.c.h reboot graphic novel I had heard about on Tumblr in like 2021 released at some point last year. I assume not here in the states though. Not only that, but I had NO idea that Yen Press has been rereleasing the OG comics here in the states for years. Like how did I never know about this. And on that note, apparently the animated series got a GBA game back in the day, but again, only released in Europe.

I never knew that "Scooby-Doo and Krypto Too" got released until recently.
