Hey there lostmediawiki! This is my first post on this forum, so feel free to let me know of any decorum issues or things of that nature. I decided to make an account here because I'm on a search for a lost video that I used to enjoy listening to a few years ago. I'm going to provide a description I planned on putting on the lostmedia subreddit (until it got deleted for my account not having enough karma) and I will tack on a few new pieces of information I figured out in the 24 hours since I wrote said post.
"[Fully Lost] (2020 - 2021)
In between the popular Tiktok upload of Butch 4 Butch and the official release of the song on Spotify, there was an 'acoustic version' of the song that was filmed in (what I assume to be) Rio's bedroom. At the time, it involved new lyrics that eventually did make it into the final version of the song, but weren't in the original Tiktok version. The video was filmed top down so you could only see their fingers playing the piano as they sung along to the song. As someone who loved this version of song (and honestly preferred it over the final cut), I went onto their YouTube channel to listen to it again after a long break from not hearing it. Turns out Rio had deleted a handful of more ammeturish videos in (what I assume to be) a social media revamp. Once upon a time, I remember this 'acoustic version' being recommended to me in a 'slowed and reverbed' cut that was not posted by Rio, but that seems to be missing as well. I reached out to Rio on Instagram, but got no response back. I'd love if someone was able to find it for me, as it brings back a lot of positive memories from the time. Thanks!"
Within the period in between my account getting approved and this post, I have learned a few more things about this missing video.
1) I was unable to find it on the wayback machine
As I work mostly on mobile, the website gave me quite a number of issues, but I was unable to find even a thumbnail from this video. It seemed to mainly be due to the fact that I couldn't view any more than a handful of their posted videos and not that it was not there entirely.
2) The title of the video had POV in it
The only piece of new information I learned from the wayback machine hunt was that Rio posted a series of videos in a similar style (top down) with a name along the lines of "Butch 4 Butch POV". Though it was part of the POV style that was popularized on Tiktok, I am unaware if this video in question was posted anywhere other than YouTube.
3) The 'slowed and reverbed' video was most likely deleted
I searched through about 50 'slowed and reverbed' and even some 'sped up' versions of the song, but none of them were accurate to the memory I have from this video specifically. The only extra information I have on this video in particular is that the video itself involved Kaeda Akamatsu from DRv3, and while several of the slowed and reverbed videos involved some image of her, none of them had the most identifiable piece of this puzzle. The lyric change from no. 4.
4) The end of the song switched out a word that was not in either the final version or the original viral Tiktok
The line "We both just laugh so nervously." was replaced with "We both just sit so nervously."
This is all I've come up with as of this moment in time. I'm not leaning towards remembering anything new without prompting from others, but who knows. The human brain is weird. Thanks for reading!
