Alright so this is the first thing I'm posting here so bare with me a bit. In 2002, a game came out for the Xbox based on the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The game was developed by a company called The Collective (Known mostly for movie and show tie ins, most notably Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith for Xbox and PS2) and co-published by EA and Fox Interactive. While checking out some stuff on the game, which in and of itself isn't overly notable, I found some stuff saying that the game had been in development for the PS1 initially, with ports planned for Windows and Dreamcast. Most of the references to this either came from IGN or a Dreamcast magazine which had a few mentions of the game. Got some screengrabs of relevant stuff there, will share a couple of pieces of concept art and a screenshot of an unknown build of the game (I'm not sure what system the screenshot was from, but the screenshot WAS used in the Dreamcast Mag so my best guess is that it's from that. Unsure though).
While I think I've got 99.9% of the information out there about this, and have been kind of cataloguing anything I found out of love for the source material, any additional information that people may have or may be able to dig up is always appreciated.
One piece of notable information is that on the game's official site from the 2000s, there was a Flash enabled sidebar with things like concept art and features on it. The archives of the site that I've used, despite having Ruffle to help re-enable Flash stuff, won't show me any of the concept art in there to help me determine whether or not what IGN showed around 2001 is what is held there.
Finally, the biggest change to the game that I can almost determine based on the information given was that Seth Green's character Oz was supposed to be in the game. However, it wouldn't surprise me if he was just listed among other characters relevant to the time period the game's set in in the announcement so I don't know whether that's true.
Anything you're able to find for me, let me know. I've been through various magazines and websites already so it wouldn't shock me if there's nothing more to find. As neat as a build would be...
