I remember a rather obscure movie from my childhood that I cannot find anywhere , it was about anthropomorphic vehicles. The movie’s title is known as ‘Mike Da Mustang'. I recently tried to find and rewatch this movie for nostalgia and to see if it wasn’t just some weird fever dream I imagined as a child but the site the movie was on was unreachable.

Plot Synopsis - The movie starred Mike, a stylized anthropomorphic P-51 Mustang who enjoyed doing tricks and maneuvers in the sky with his friend Buzz who is an anthropomorphic bee until he was so overly confident of himself he clipped his wing against a windsock causing it to get damaged. He makes an emergency landing where his wing was put in a cast.
Mike’s friend Axle, A Willys Jeep who dreams of flight, rushes to his side.
Axle tells mike about his dream of one day flying like Mike but Mike seemed Skeptical, since Mike was unable to fly as his wing was still healing. Axle teaches Mike about all the wonderful things to see and discover on the ground.
The moral of the story is to appreciate the smaller things in life and to be yourself.
Being an aviation fan I loved how each of the characters were based on real aircraft like how apart from Mike who was a P-51 there were also various racing aircraft, an f-22, a westland whirlwind helicopter and possibly something resembling a 747.
Loss Details - The movie was only available to watch on it’s own website which was www.mikedamustang.com which was online for a couple years but is now no longer available and redirects to a parked Chinese domain as of right now.
The movie due to being relatively obscure received no home release on dvd or ever appeared on the big screen.
I checked the internet archive for the site to see if I could at least access the site from when it was still active but it was not saved.
The movie’s trailer is still available on youtube to watch as well as having its own imdb page but the movie in it’s entirety is presumed lost.
Anyone else remember or are familiar with this movie? Please let me know.
Thank you.
